Varya

Varya graduated in 2024 as Dux of New Plymouth Girls’ High School, and was named as an NZQA Outstanding Scholar having received 8 scholarship subjects including Outstanding Scholarship in Chemistry, Statistics, and Classical Studies, in addition to Scholarship Physics, Calculus, Earth and Space Science, English, and Music. Varya received excellence endorsements NCEA at levels 1, 2 and 3.

Varya is currently in her first year of a cojoint Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Data Science at the University of Canterbury. She is a recipient of the GO Waitaha Canterbury Scholarship, Tait Foundation WiE CAN Scholarship, Helen Macmillan Brown Bursary Scholarship, and AIMS scholarship.

In her free time Varya plays the flute and piano and enjoys reading, particularly the classics!

Varya can help your child with all NCEA maths (calculus and statistics) and science subjects at any level (1-3) in addition to junior (Yrs 7-10) science and maths. She is also able to assist with Classical Studies and Music Theory. Specialist tuition in NZQA Scholarship in the above subjects is available on request.
